After a couple of weeks of showers, frosts, and gale force winds blowing straight from Antartica (or feeling like it, at least), it was soothing to spend an hour in my garden this afternoon.
I’d written an article for my garden club’s newsletter on one of the worst days. I bemoaned the lack of colour in my garden since most of my trees and shrubs were deciduous and all I could see were bare branches. But today, I found glimpses of colour can always be found if I look carefully.
From top: hyacinth unfurling, self-seeded primula flower emerging, the first muscari, glorious hellebore, camellia, the queen of winter.
Now, if the sun would shine, it would make my garden even more colourful. ☺️
