hopeful and optimistic
Hello, creative dabblers! I’m writing this to you, filled with hope and optimism after a change of federal government. Hope that all Australians can come together to make our country better, and optimism that kindness rather than divisiveness will prevail. That’s my yearning.
It’s a short newsletter today. I’m drained after last night and my head is filled with fragments of so much election talk. The rest of my day will be filled with some soothing hand sewing. That will reset my equilibrium.
Last Tuesday, I attended a talk by Christine Sykes where she discussed her book Gough and me: my journey from Cabramatta to China and beyond. It was great to be out and mingling with other readers and I wrote about it here.
This article about the growers preserving Australia’s heirloom apples is worth reading. There are so many people around our country who make a difference, like the growers interviewed in the article. More power to them.
To finish, here’s a photo of one of my fuchsias to brighten your day.
Have a lovely week.

Thank you Erica,
I too am full of optimism. Integrity and kindness, two of the most important qualities in a human being.
I'm also tired.....
